Home office preferences and philosophy below.

Favorite tools of the work day:

Standing Desk – Aim for half the day standing.

A Single, Large 2k Monitor for Focused Productivity – Every time I try to switch back to dual monitors I get fed up with the extra clutter and neck pain!

Logitech MX Keys – Amazing keyboard with seamless device switching.

Logitech MX Master – Inherited this from a departing web developer and it has been an eye opener. Previously swore by the Razer Death Adder, but this one is reliable, fast, and rechargeable.

Karst Stone Paper Notebooks – A joy to write in and good for the planet.

My adopted rules for work and life balance:

1. Be a steadfast partner, provider and parent.

2. Work hard, play hard, and recover hard. Achieve big things with my team, have a great time enjoying life, but protect sleep and days off!

3. Get up early and start the day strong. Make the coffee, read with my wife, feed the boys, go for a walk, stretch and hydrate.

4. Move and be active most days for at least 30 min of physical exertion to sweat. (Current routine: 30 min of walking every day plus kettle bells and functional weight training 2-3 days a week.)

5. Eat clean, as close to nature and plant based as possible.

6. When possible, wear blue-light blocking glasses for screen time. Limit screen use after dark.

7. Be grateful for the wonderful life and opportunities in front of me.
